Dan wesson 5 digit serial number
The one in question, I believe, is a Dan Wesson Pointman. This is identifiable by the logos on the slide. CZ Dan Wesson's have the new serial coding and less logos. And yes the Pointman series uses the same new system. My Cbob is an '05 and my buddy's PM-7 is an '05 and has a similar serial number to mine. Hope that helps. RyanI also have a stainless model 714. The correct model number for the stainless Dan Wesson 357 revolver is 714. A Model 14-2 would be a blued 357 Dan Wesson with a fixed rear sight. Great looking Model 41, 3228 would be a first year gun. Don't need the serial number to see it's the first type. Hate to say it but, you will find that the box is not original to that gun. I ran into the serial number (AJUXXXX) on a Model 19-5 . Photos attached. All serial numbers are not listed. You have to read between the lines. In July 1985 it ended with AHT which is close to end of AH series or close to AI, next would be AJ series, then in November they started with ALA. Your AJU is in between July and November 1985..I also scored a NIB Ruger 22/45 for $225 with papers and two mags. From the serial number it looks to have been made in 1999.
