The engrams have a defined table, I think only stuff you don't have from 3 or more seasons prior. If there aren't any, you can only get duplicates at that point. That said, they aren't on a knockout, i.e. you can still duplicates even though there are things you're still missing. That would be one good opportunity for improvement.The exotic engrams that you can decode have a pool that they pull from each season.
