The G3 comes with 8 levels of resistance, which is at the lower end of the spectrum (although the Total Gym XLS only comes with 6). Many of the more expensive models come with 12 resistance levels and the G5 comes with 10. The number of resistance levels is definitely something Total Gym uses to justify different price levels for their gyms.
