Since I am used to brewing beer, I am used to the fact that I am always in need something from a brewshop (for example barley, hops or beer yeast) . I just tried some 6th gen UJSSM that I added 1/2 cup of smoked peated malt to and have had on oak for 3 months. Turned out really smooth. The original UJSSM recipe calls for the removal of spent grain and replacement with new of equal quantity between generations. I found that this wasn't strictly necessary as originally described, and I just used a kitchen strainer to collect spent grain as it floated to the surface.
