I just stumbled on this post because I was trying to farm my first lost sector this season to get the new titan chest. Granted my sample size was low but I ran bay somewhere between 15-20 times and didn't get a single exotic drop. The drop rate last season felt closer to a 20-25% drop rate chance.It’s around a 1/3 chance given that you kill every champion in order to get platinum rewards. If you miss any champs, that drop rate plummets. Some lost sectors have some tricky champs to watch out for. Sometimes you just hit a drought. Master only ups it to around a 40% chance and is not generally worth the added difficulty.Ive done 4 master lost sectors solo, havent had a single exotic drop. Ive only gotten one legendary weapon. Bows are best for overload. Need to hold bow briefly for overload to proc. And I have a hunch the more lives you have the better chance you have of getting exotic. I've consistently gotten my exotic once I figured out the lost sector and ended said lost sector with like 6 or 7 lives.

Score, no. Well not exactly. If you don't kill all champions and get a "platinum" score you absolutely won't get an exotic. If you do get "platinum" it's a 25% or 33% drop rate for legend or master respectively. The actual number score doesn't matter though. Legendary is about 25% assuming you're killing all the champions. Then I have shit rng. Yeah, there have been a few analyses run with thousands of completions and the conclusion was that it's about 25% drop rate, but during those analyses, people did have long streaks with no drops.

The only good part is that there is a really high chance you will receive new gear. I feel like the drop rate is super buffed for the lost sector exclusive gear. I got most of them within 2 run each. Drop rate seems to be on the same tier/lower than the Legend Lost Sector, after 5+ runs I've only ever got blues/enhancement cores - Is this intended?
